Vetting Process

Individuals interested in serving on the Pine Forge Academy Alumni Association Executive Committee are provided an Officer Application Questionnaire to complete. The application gives each candidate an opportunity to share their professional and leadership experience, vision, and connection to the Pine Forge community.

Candidates also provide information about previous board service and their ability to commit to a three-year term. Once applications are received, the Nominating & Vetting Sub-Committee reviews each candidate through a consistent and documented process. The committee first confirms eligibility and then evaluates the information provided in the application, considering leadership and professional experience, collaborative ability, vision for the Alumni Association, Governance experience, commitment to serve.

Each candidate is independently reviewed by committee members, with appropriate recusals required when a personal or familial relationship exists. The individual evaluations are then compiled and considered by the committee as it develops its recommended slate of candidates for Executive Committee service.
